On Target Brain Teaser: Find the Missing Letters

Allie Johnson

Are you keen on keeping your brain sharp as an arrow as you age? The good news is there are many different ways to keep this complex organ in tip top shape—and many of these activities can also enhance your overall health.

If you want to put together a plan to boost your brain health, it’s important to address your physical, social and mental wellness. For example, you may want to:

  • Lace up your sneakers. Exercising regularly can keep your brain in shape along with your biceps.
  • Link up with others. Strengthening your social networks is key to brain health.
  • Put healthy foods on the menu. Adding more brain-fueling foods like fatty fish and berries to your plate can help beef up cognitive function.
  • Fix sleep issues. Getting more quality sleep may help to improve your memory.

Of course, getting on a workout schedule, bolstering your social life, improving your diet and practicing sleep hygiene are all big projects that require sustained time and effort. But there’s also an easy, fun daily habit you can add to the mix right away: playing brain games.

Scientists are still studying the benefits of brain training to better understand its impact on cognitive functioning. They’re also grappling with the very definition of brain health. But while experts do the mental heavy lifting, you may as well jump in and have some fun with our On Target brain teaser.

To solve the On Target brain teaser, take a look at these two targets, both of which contain letters in the outer rings with a blank space in the bull’s eye. For each target, figure out which two letters, when entered together into the center circle, make three six-letter words.
